On today’s morning walk I ask, “Are you writing?” It seems we talk a lot about writing, perhaps even more than we’re doing it. Sometimes the best thing you can do as a writer is just get started.
If you’ve set a goal to take an inspiring trip to fire up your work, don’t forget we’re still enrolling my Write of Your Life Retreat, taking place in Italy in this September. Read all about it here at Grand Tourist UK.
Dear Sophfronia
First chance I had to take a moment and walk with you today on Yale’s campus in New Haven. I first heard of you since I believe you offered a lecture at East Hill in Southbury. Am I correct? I am tesching watercolor at East Hill so please join the small group if you are in the area Mondays 1st and 3rd each month, 1:30 – 2:30 PM. I paint but I also pursue writing – studied with Dr. Robert Wolsch and even had a pen name, “Sydney”. I write poetry at times and authored reviews and articles when I lived in Massachusetts. I hope to show my students’ paintings at East Hill or at the local library and would be honored if you returned to EH and read from your own work. Was anything inspirational after your experience here with residents? My “newest” first time painter just celebrated her ninety-ninth birthday! I wiuld love to show you her images of fallen aytumn leaves. You are welcome to visit my studio Fox Run Studio. I need to write – cteate – generate – initiate a web site next !!!
Hi Sydney,
Thanks for walking with me today! I can’t make the Monday times you mention but I’m glad to hear you’re being creative.
